With a membership of over 65 active youth, the Acolyte Ministry at St. Aidan’s is a dynamic, prayerful group of young people in service to St. Aidan’s! From the 4th grade through their senior year of high school, acolyting gives our young people an opportunity to serve God and His church.
Acolytes fulfill an important role in the life of our parish. These dedicated young people serve at over 100 services during the year: two regular Sunday services and many special services including Holy Week, All Saints Day, and Christmas Eve as well as weddings, funerals and other important occasions.

The Altar Guild serves the Church under the direction of the clergy. They serve an important ministry in the community worship life in the Episcopal Tradition. The primary purpose of the Altar Guild is to prepare and maintain the altar and all Eucharistic vessels, as well as chancel, and worship space for all usual and special services including weddings, memorials, ordinations, baptisms, confirmations, and funerals.
Members of St Aidan’s Altar Guild are women who work in the sacristy to prepare the elements to be used in the Eucharistic service (bread, wine, water, napkins, chalice, etc.). They attend to the candles, replacing them as needed; make sure the consecrated elements are in place in the tabernacle when needed; fill the Eucharist kits for the Eucharistic Ministers. They prayerfully and properly clean all Eucharistic vessels, paying special attention to how items are handled, cleaned, and remains of consecrated elements are disposed of. All of the work of the Altar Guild is done in a spirit of reverence and prayerfulness.
The Altar Guild welcomes those who feel called to participate in this important aspect of worship ministry.

The St. Aidan’s Flower Guild is comprised of parishioners who volunteer their time to arrange flowers for Sunday services and arrangements and decorations for Christmas, Easter and all holy days. After the 11am service, the Flower Guilds arrange small vases of flowers to be taken to those unable to come to church. The Flower Guild also sponsors an Advent wreath making event the first Sunday in Advent.
New members are welcome to join at any time!

The Usher Ministry is one of hospitality, particularly for newcomers, but also for members in need. Our ushers are always alert for ways they can help while being mindful to promote a sense of reverence, limit disruptions and assist with health emergencies if they arise. The ushers follow a comprehensive Ministry Guide, but all are encouraged to do whatever is necessary to ensure each service goes smoothly.
Adults, youth, and even children are part of the Usher Ministry! Members of all ages are welcome to serve on the usher teams.
For more information or to become involved in the Usher Ministry please contact Dave Hofstetter via the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 770-521-0207.
The Wedding Guild is charged with the responsibility of assisting the marrying couple and the officiating priest with all arrangements for the wedding service. The Guild coordinates efforts with the Altar Guild and the Flower Guild to insure the Church is ready for the service. Guild members will be present at both the rehearsal and the wedding to give assistance and support to the wedding party and to insure the smooth flow of the service itself. Because of the assistance of the Wedding Guild, there is no need for an outside bridal consultant for the service.
For more information or to become involved in the Wedding Guild please contact Joyce Tripp Miller via the church office at email@example.com or 770-521-0207.
Lectors & Intercessors
Lectors and intercessors are always needed to help with readings, and to pray with and for members of the congregation. If you have a gift for public speaking or a passion for prayer, please consider participating in this vital ministry.
